Introduction: How to Take a Test

  1. Use the scrollbar/slider at the bottom of the window to move between questions. You can move backwards and forwards between questions and change your answers if you wish.
  2. If a Mark button is shown then pressing this will allow you to check your answers. You can still change your answers once you have pressed Mark.
  3. If a Cheat button is shown you can press it and hold it down to see the correct answer.
  4. The Finish button will end the test. You will normally be shown your marks.

Once you have finished a test you can usually use the slider/scrollbar at the bottom of the screen to review your answers to different questions.

Cheat

The Cheat button may or may not be shown, and this depends upon the settings in the Question Bank that is opened.

To use the Cheat or Show Answer button you must press it and hold it down. The correct answers will be displayed only while the button is being held.

Mark

The Mark button may or may not be shown, and this depends upon the settings in the Question Bank that is opened.

When you press the Mark button the answers you have entered for a question will be marked. However, you can still make changes to your answers - the Mark button does not end a test.

Finish

The Finish button ends the test and marks the questions. Once you finish a test you may be able to do any of the following:

  1. View your results as a text summary.
  2. Go back through your questions looking at your marked answers.
  3. Save your results.
  4. Print your results.

The options set in the Question Bank by the examiner determine which of these things you can and cannot do.
